The Cadillac CT4 comes in four classes: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and the V series. All models are available in rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. It’s also available in two different engines – a 2L twin scroll turbo and a 2.7 dual volume turbo engine.
The Cadillac CT4 also offers 8 interior environments to choose from and the finishing touches do not disappoint. Included in that are Cadillac’s signature chevron insignia on the seats and the fine-stitching detail coupled with a modernized dash. Cadillac has struck a fine balance between maintaining its classic appearance while including necessary upgrades to keep up with the times.
At the turn of the millennium Cadillac had been considered an afterthought in the world-aggregate of top-end, everyday luxury vehicles. The tide is quickly shifting on this narrative. Year after year, with productions such as this, they claw their way into contention with the best of the best.
A true driver’s car
Cadillac’s CT4 is a direct contender with the Audi A3 and Mercedes A Class. But it comes out roaring and arguably makes a much bolder impression. There is no doubt that it is a true driver’s car. The vehicle features 18’’ satin graphite finish wheels on the sport model with a performance mesh grill. That gives it a sexy finish that is sure to catch people’s attention.
The CT4 also comes with fresh technology. The interior features an 8-inch diagonal touchscreen display that is equipped with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Available options also include heated front-seats, lumbar massage, heated steering, wireless phone charging and a 14-speaker Bose surround sound system. Cadillac has also paid particular attention to the control panel, ergonomically fitting the arrangement with a smart finish.
The in-drive experience has also been modernized with front-pedestrian detection, auto-emergency braking, lane-keep assist and side-blind zone alert bringing Cadillac up to speed with all the trimmings of a true luxury sedan.
Luxury meets class
The rear and front tailed-down highlights are reminiscent of more classic Cadillac models. However they have been sharpened to give it a more cutting and daring appearance. The double exhaust also makes this Cadillac sportier than its predecessors.
The CT4’s premium luxury model comes with 309 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque. The CT4 V comes in at 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque, which is impressive for a 4-cylinder engine. The AWD 2.0 L, 4 cylinder automatic Turbo also offer 26 MPG combined city/highway.
The release of the Cadillac CT4 is something to be excited about. Cadillac has a reputation that boasts class and good-taste and this car holds up to the standard time and time again.
