Earlier this month luxury Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer caught the attention of horology enthusiasts by teaming up with the British bespoke watch house, Bamford Watch Department. The end result? The Tag Heuer Limited Edition Aquaracer X Bamford.
This is the second time the two companies have collaborated since 2018, when they co-designed the Monaco timepiece.
This special edition watch is serious. Tag Heuer has been evolutionizing time with sport since its inception in 1860. This watch is no compromise, a heavy-duty professional tool watch made of grade 2 titanium. The dial is black and the orange hands and applied indices are treated with Super-LumiNova for effortless reading in various degrees of light and depth. The watch is water resistant to 300 M.

The watch features a magnified date window at the 3 o’ clock position. The case measures at 43 mm in diameter and the sand-blasted titanium gives this watch a bold and robust appearance. The super light-weight 60 minute scale iconic 12-facet bezel is unidirectional. And the three-row, fine-brushed steel bracelet features a folding clasp with push buttons.
Calibre 5 Automatic Movement
The six studs on the case are to facilitate easier handling with gloves. So whether you are diving in the Maldives with reef sharks or high up in the Swiss alps on your next skiing adventure, the Aquaracer will make a fine sporting companion. The screw-down crown has double safety gaskets to prevent dust or water penetration.
12 colour options
The watch is equipped with the Calibre 5 Automatic movement. It comes with a 38 hour power reserve. The limited edition number is marked on the screw-down case back. The Tag Heuer Aquaracer X Bamford sells for $4,850 CAD.
Now if this colour combination doesn’t speak to you, you need not to worry. That’s because Tag Heuer has presented the Aquaracer watch in 12 colour options to choose from, to suit everyone’s tastes. And although these are not limited editions, they are a classic in their category.
This year has been an exciting one for Tag Heuer. In the spring of this year the company also released an Aquaracer GMT in purple and black. It’s more popularly known as the ‘Batman’ colour combination to complement the already-existing red and blue or ‘Pepsi’ GMT.
Due to the watches unique face, the company has done very well in offering a robust and unique timepiece in an array of colours to target a larger audience of buyers. Over the summer they released the Aquaracer in two tortoise-shell inspired colour patterns, one in red and the other in blue, as more playful additions to the lineup.
The non-limited edition Aquaracers begin at $2,950.00 CAD.
