The Seiko Astron GPS Solar watches are equipped with a GPS receiver that enables them to connect to the global network of GPS satellites. By utilizing this network, the watch can accurately determine the local time and adjust itself to the correct time zone, including accounting for daylight saving time changes.

This feature ensures that the watch always displays precise and accurate time, no matter where you are in the world.  The new enhanced GPS Solar movement, the Caliber 3X62, connects automatically up to twice a day** to the GPS network, resulting in amazing precision of one second every 100,000 years.

Another notable feature of the Astron GPS Solar watches is their solar-powered movement. The watch’s dial incorporates a solar panel that captures both natural and artificial light, converting it into electrical energy to power the watch’s functions. This eliminates the need for frequent battery replacements, making the watch highly convenient and environmentally friendly.

In addition to the automatic time adjustment based on GPS signals, the Seiko Astron GPS Solar watches also offer manual time zone adjustment. This allows you to easily switch between different time zones manually when needed, which can be particularly useful when travelling or during situations where GPS connectivity may be limited.

Solar-powered efficiency

Integrated bracelets are fashionable in today’s watch climate and the new Seiko Astron GPS Solar does this to perfection.  It will sit comfortably on the wrist at 41.2mm, and its slim 12mm profile will tuck neatly under your shirt cuff.  You’re getting a stylish, comfortable, and accurate watch.

All four watches will be available at the Seiko Boutiques and select retail stores:

  • SSJ014: $2,825
  • SSJ015: $2,975
  • SSJ017: $2,695 (Limited edition of 1,500)

In summary, the new Seiko Astron GPS Solar offers precise timekeeping, global synchronization, solar-powered efficiency, and durability. These advantages make it a reliable and convenient choice for those seeking a high-quality timepiece that combines advanced technology with enduring style.
