Nestled at the north end of the Strip, the newly opened Fontainebleau Las Vegas is more than just a hotel. It redefines luxury in a city renowned for its extravagance. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and elegance that sets Fontainebleau apart from any other hotel in Las Vegas. Here’s a glimpse into my incredible experience.
A grand welcome
Stepping into the expansive 20,000-square-foot lobby, I was immediately struck by Fontainebleau’s grandeur. The 5,000-square-foot VIP registration area offers a sense of exclusivity from the start. My experience was elevated further when I was led to the Fleur de Lis VIP lounge check-in and greeted with champagne to take the edge off the flight.
Elegant rooms and suites
Opening the door to my room, the drapes slowly revealed the breathtaking view I would enjoy for the duration of my stay. The rooms and suites at Fontainebleau are masterpieces of design and comfort. With 3,644 beautifully appointed accommodations, the attention to detail is remarkable. Designed by John Rawlins, the interiors feature a soothing palette of blue and silver tones with coral-pink accents. The furnishings, from mercury-glass mirrors to custom brass drawer pulls, exude timeless elegance.
Fitness center: A sanctuary for wellness enthusiasts
As someone who starts each morning with a workout, I was thrilled to discover that the Fontainebleau Fitness Center is open daily from 5 AM to 7 PM.
My jaw dropped when I first walked in, and it took me a full five minutes just to explore and get my bearings. The center features state-of-the-art cardio machines, including Peloton bikes, Woodway treadmills, and Hydrow rowers. The advanced strength equipment in the Performance Zone, such as Jacob’s Ladder and a HIIT modular system, ensures a comprehensive workout.
What truly impressed me was the variety of daily classes in the Movement Studio, offering everything from yoga to Pilates, with personal trainers available to guide and motivate.
Exquisite dining experiences
Fontainebleau’s dining options are a culinary adventure. At Don’s Prime, the stylish steakhouse, I relished Prime steaks from exclusive partnerships and savoured pre-prohibition cocktails in a setting that evokes mid-century glamour. The tableside service and trolley carts added a layer of excitement to the dining experience.
La Côte transported me to the French Riviera with its breezy, upscale ambiance. The vibrant international menu with Mediterranean flavours was perfectly complemented by refreshing cocktails and a selection of fine wines.
Chyna Club, conceived by Alan Yau, offered an eclectic Chinese culinary journey in a cozy, club-like atmosphere. The innovative dishes and intimate setting made for a memorable evening.
KYU, with its open kitchen and Japanese wood-fired grilling technique, served up umami-rich meats and smoke-roasted fish. The combination of expertly prepared food, curated music, and ambient lighting created an unforgettable dining experience.

Lapis Spa: A realm of rejuvenation
The 55,000-square-foot Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau is a sanctuary of tranquility. Designed by Milan-based Lissoni & Partners, the spa offers a blend of ancient global traditions and cutting-edge technology. From the moment I stepped into this two-level haven, I was transported into a world of relaxation and healing. The knowledgeable healers guided me through treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
The allure of Nowhere
The speakeasy-style bar, Nowhere, quickly became my favourite spot. With its dynamic atmosphere, inventive cocktails, light jazz, and impromptu live music, it was the perfect place to unwind. The historical reference to Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s iconic “Stairs to Nowhere” added a nostalgic charm to the experience.
Gaming in style
Although not a gambler myself, I must mention that Fontainebleau’s casino is a sophisticated playground, spanning over 150,000 square feet with 42-foot ceilings. The casino features 1,300 slot machines and 128 table games, offering an array of choices for every gaming enthusiast. The elegant design and high-energy atmosphere made every visit thrilling.
Fontainebleau Las Vegas is a luxurious gem that has set a new standard in hospitality. Every detail, from the grand lobby to the exquisitely designed rooms, from the world-class dining to the rejuvenating spa, speaks of unmatched luxury and thoughtful service. Whether you’re visiting for the vibrant nightlife, the exceptional fitness and wellness facilities, or simply to indulge in the finest accommodations, Fontainebleau Las Vegas promises an experience like no other.
My stay here was nothing short of extraordinary, and I can confidently say it’s the best, most luxurious hotel I’ve experienced in Las Vegas.
