Last week Habanos S.A. Corporation announced another cancellation of the event due to Covid. The Cuban cigar industry has in fact been hammered by worker shortages due to the pandemic. Production, and therefore exports to places like Canada, are down all over. The festival was scheduled for February.
Said Habanos S.A.: “We are forced to cancel said celebration due to the new epidemiological situation of the Coronavirus in the world.”
