The 60th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show wrapped up earlier this week. And there was plenty of fanfare and buzz for boating enthusiasts that came out of it. The largest in-water boat show on earth looks to showcase the best luxury yachts on an annual basis. And this year was no exception. (Head here for coverage of the 2020 show.)

There was a total value of $2.2 billion worth of luxury yachts on display. Boating enthusiasts were able to find their own definition of paradise on the water. But here are six superyachts in particular that generated buzz:
Madsummer
Crafted by German-based ship manufacturer Lürssen, the show-stopping Madsummer was the For Lauderdale International Boat Show’s beast of the marina. Measuring 311 ft (or 95 meters), the vessel feels less like a ship than she does an intimate getaway. Despite the size and capabilities of the superyacht, it’s only made for 12 guests. Its exterior, forged by Eidsgaard Design, features a 12-meter swimming pool, helipad, and outdoor cinema capabilities. The interior, by Laura Sessa, includes a full spa, 10 spacious stateroom cabins. It is manned by a crew of 30.
Those looking to indulge in the exquisite luxury of the Madsummer will find it a high-priced, short-lived mission. The yacht is only available to charter for up to a week at the steep price $1.4 million dollars. And that’s just in the winter. Those able to step foot on the world-class marine machine will find it an unforgettable experience. Madsummer is the latest in a long line of hits from the Lürssen catalog.
Mansion Yacht
The Mansion Yacht is Michael Bay’s Transformers supercharged on Beluga Siberian caviar and 1820 Juglar Cuvee. A marvel of modern engineering, the half-boat/half-home vessel is the crown jewel of versatility with four 18-foot hydraulic legs that can lift the boat above the water, allowing you to live lavishly in your ocean-level home.
With two generators and 72 solar panels, power will never be a worry as you enjoy the amenities included in the 9,000 sq ft, air conditioned vessel, including rooftop and below-deck living. In terms of luxury yachts, the Mansion Yacht is the first to be made entirely of stainless steel and features five staterooms, five king-sized beds, and five full designer baths, alongside a seven-seat hot tub and 800 sq ft theatre and game room.

Vida
Heesen’s highly-anticipated 55-meter steel yacht, the privately-owned Vida, was set to make her debut internationally at the Monaco Yacht Show. It instead had her premiere pushed back and debuted at FLIBS instead.
The Vida is an unparalleled show in class, crafted internally by Heesen to fit the tastes of her owners ideal life on the water. Her stunning interior features backlit ivory onyx arch frames at the entrance of the main saloon, framing a display wine collection that features 21 bottles at either of its surrounding sides pointing inward toward the saloon itself.
With five spacious staterooms, an 80-square-metre owner’s apartment, and a waterfall lounge that includes a starred ceiling, fully-stocked bar, and LED-lit pool, it’s safe to say those waiting since Monaco to be impressed by the Vida will find its presentation well worth the wait.
Here Comes the Sun
As the largest vessel ever built by Amels Holland BV, Here Comes the Sun was always bound to impress. While the superyacht sizes up to 83 metres long, her height is what sets her apart from fellow competitors. The behemoth of a ship contains six decks that store nine guest suites, crew quarters for 25, a swimming pool and a beach club opening to the sea.
Similar to luxury yachts like the Madsummer, Here Comes the Sun is only available for charter, with a similar price tag of $1.34 million. The flagship of the Amels Limited Editions range features an exterior from Tim Heywood, who crafted the entirety of the Limited Editions line, and an interior from Winch Design, who has also done work on the Boeing 787 series.

Majesty 140
