Sometimes it’s challenging to pick what to do when you have so much choice, but here are some options to consider:

Recreational vehicle

RV’ing is a fantastic way to spend a weekend in the country, with friends and family in tow. It can be a little more pricey than some other options, but it’s worth it for the experience. Your weekends might become busier, but you’ll have plenty of things to occupy your time that you may not have previously considered. For example, it’s easy to plan an RV trip that includes hiking, fishing, and even rock climbing if you’re up for it. You can also take cooking classes or learn how to make your wine during the weekend.

Caravan

Caravaning is another option for spending some time out in the country, but it’s not quite as expensive as RV’ing, and you can spend more time concentrating on what matters; each other. While this may seem like an option that won’t appeal to everyone, if you’ve never tried it before, then you don’t know what you’re missing. There’s something very therapeutic about being surrounded by nature, and it’s just another way of enjoying the great outdoors with friends and family.

Purchasing a caravan is more affordable than an RV, so you could even buy one if you wanted to experience this recreational option on your own terms. The maintenance and caravan repairs are economical, which means your investment is more in the experience and spending time with your loved ones.

Glamping

Glamping is a relatively new idea that has taken off in recent years, but it can be an excellent experience if you haven’t tried it before. While it’s not camping, it gives you some of the same thrills with a hint of luxury. You can still go on hikes and enjoy nature, but there are more comforts than just sleeping out in the open air.

Tiny house

The final option to consider is choosing to live in a tiny house near nature for your weekend getaway. If you’re looking for an opportunity to get away from it all but still have access to modern conveniences, then a tiny house could be the answer. It might sound strange at first, but you’d be surprised by how much fun can occur when everything is condensed into one space.

You can bring snacks and board games with you, and all you need is to spend time with your loved ones. There are plenty of benefits to living small if you know what you’re doing.

There you have it

When it comes down to it, people have many options for spending their weekends somewhere fun and relaxing. You can work out what suits your needs best and experience some of the benefits of each option if you’re brave enough to try something new.
