Many of us share a common goal: to purchase an extravagant sports car. That dream car might be a Porsche. Nowadays, Porsche cars are considered to be a “mid-life crisis car”. There is an abundance of them on the Toronto streets, so that feeling of exclusivity has been whittled down a little.

The Porsche brand is internationally recognized as a popular, high-performance sports cars. However if your heart is set on purchasing a luxury sports car, Porsche models aren’t the only car to buy in Toronto. There are plenty of other options to explore.
Value
On the lower end of the spectrum is a Porsche Macan, which has a MSRP of $57,800. On the other end of the spectrum, there is a Porsche Taycan which has a MSRP of $119,000. The 911 Carrera 4S costs north of $180,000. There are other car models too, in the Porsche stable.
Value shouldn’t only be considered in monetary terms. You can also assess value based on rareness. We love Porsche, but these days, Porsche cars are a dime a dozen in Toronto. No matter where you go, you’ll see a Porsche somewhere along the way. A decade or two ago, if you saw a Porsche on the streets of Toronto, it was a sight to see.

Appearance
Today, you almost could say Porsche models are lumped into the same category as everyday, high-end cars, like Lexus, Audi, BMW, Acura and Mercedes Benz.
These cars are superb in their own way. If you have the money, and you’re considering buying a sports car, what about heading off the beaten track? After all, no one purchases a sports car because they’re affordable, easy to take care of and resilient. Uniqueness and charisma are other factors.
Alternatives out there
Looking for something more on the opulent side? Consider some of the other alternatives below. You won’t see many of these on the streets of Toronto:
Aston Martin
Aston Martin is a British brand, a premiere luxury car in part made famous appearing in James Bond movies. The Aston Martin Vantage, with its 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8, is one of the more stunning options to consider, available in Toronto. You’ll know it by the roar it makes.
Maserati
Today, the Maserati brand, of Italian descent, is internationally recognized. The Maserati Levante, starting from $94,290, is a beautiful SUV car that has impeccable performance. With powerful V6 and V8 engines, built at the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy, it drives like a smaller sports sedan.

Bugatti
The Bugatti brand is French, and is relatively new to Toronto. If you blink, you might miss one. The Chiron, for example, generates 1,500 horsepower, off a 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers.
Ferrari
Ferrari began operations in 1947 in Italy. It is a very unique brand because they limit the amount of cars they produce. If you’re looking for one of the best sports cars anywhere, check out the Ferrari Portofino M. The car has a long lineup of new technical and design features, one of the sleekest convertibles you’ll see anywhere.
McLaren
The founder of McLaren, Bruce McLaren, is of New Zealand descent. Even though this brand isn’t as old as the others, they have an exceptional choice of cars. McLaren isn’t as well known as the others, and is more rare. The McLaren 765LT model is a sight for sore eyes and built to drive fast. It is lighter than past versions, and uses innovative new aerodynamics, which means it flies.
Your next car
If you’re looking to go another way, really think outside the box and find a brand that sets you apart from others. After all, that’s what you’re paying the big bucks for, right?
