What is a Luxury Audit?
Luxury Audits are something new. Unlike a traditional review of a luxurious product or place, a Luxury Audit is personal. By answering five simple questions, the subject shares their perception of luxury and its importance in their lives. This is kind of exciting for us because it exposes hidden facets of the subject; the very idea of luxury.
Taken as a whole, our news reports, reviews and editorials could answer the question, what is luxury? Regarding Luxury magazine tells stories related to luxury brands and goes inside posh events in search of valuable experiences. Our authors review luxury cars, premium cigars, men’s clothes, cologne, wristwatches, and other luxuries, but seldom explore the nature of luxury itself. Luxury Audits fill this gap.
New input is always welcome, and this is why Luxury Audits were conceived. All the answers below are Dr. Natalie Archer’s own words, her ideas and opinions.

1. What is your definition of luxury?
My mission and goal is to develop meaningful relationships with my team and patients. After practicing dentistry for almost twenty-five years, I can reflect back on all the ways our team was able to share a feeling of luxury and comfort. It goes beyond providing expert care that’s quick and painless (as comfortable as possible), and is all about the little things like customizing the music, providing lavender pillows, flavoured pastes and polishes, and Netflix TV. I guess it really begins with choosing the finest Italian leather for our dental chairs, and curating digital art shows for our waiting room. More than that, we created new systems for training team members in customer service, clinical training, and some more advanced techniques to make our dental care memorable for being quick, easy and essentially unmemorable.
2. Are you motivated to possess any specific luxury? What and Why?
I love digital art. I loved the show we created at our Rosedale dental clinic, and I’d like to get that set up again for my other offices. Buying digital art and putting it on display in healthcare waiting rooms is luxury in action, is one way to think about it.

3) What does luxury mean to you personally?
To me, luxury is FEELING spoiled and recognizing and savouring premium experiences. As an example, last night I sat outside and enjoyed an October evening at a lakeside cottage on a comfortable dock chair. Moments later, the moon was exquisite. It was sharp, clearly delineated and the stars were so clear. I enjoyed a bowl of minestrone soup, eating under the stars and moon and felt it was the most luxurious experience. So, it’s that special feeling I get when I experience something posh. I say, “oh, this is nice.” It’s that same feeling I try to put into our dental clinics. We have created some award-winning designs, which is one of my favourite things to do. I love designing dental operatories, waiting rooms, and even washrooms. I like making healthcare spaces where patients feel comfortable, even pampered. Good design imbues trust in our team members who are wonderful people, and like family to me and our regular patients.
4) Is luxury important to your business?
Yes. Archer Dental Rosedale was designed and built to provide first-class luxury experiences for dental patients. When you arrive, you’ll find stylish and comfortable furnishings. When you sit in our dental chairs overlooking the Don Valley, you’ll say ‘Oh, this is nice.” Large full wall windows let the sunlight into these operatories and that’s a luxury all by itself. The new dental examination rooms at our Rosedale location stand out for their sharp designs, soft colours and attention to detail.

5. How does Archer Dental present luxury?
Several dental offices in Toronto market themselves as luxury providers, promising personalized service and the latest dental technologies to elevate patient experience. But all three Archer Dental locations are bonafide luxury dental clinics. Read the reviews and you’ll understand our focus on providing exceptional care is more than just words.
We used to put the word ‘luxury’ in our dental office descriptions, but that’s tacky, and now we just suggest it in the pictures and speak more directly to our patients’ needs. Before COVID we provided patients with hot towels after treatment. That’s luxury. Today, we’re using AI Chat on our website to answer patients’ questions about dental care, and someday I think it will be possible to style that cyber servant as say, a British butler, or give it a French accent, and this might be another way we can use to suggest an upscale premium dental service.
Lastly, I will say the colour purple is a luxurious colour, especially royal purple, but it’s also a colour of great and deep meaning to me personally. It’s the colour of what my heart wants to share with the world.
There are over a dozen dental offices in Toronto which specifically market themselves as luxury providers, offering upscale amenities, high-end décor, personalized service, and the latest dental technology to elevate patient experiences. Archer Dental clinics standout as premium dental healthcare providers based on our prominent locations, reputation, and impeccable service.
