Swim at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia

Sat off the eastern coast of Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest coral reef system – spanning over 2,300km. It is home to over 9,000 known species, according to National Geographic, making it the perfect place to explore the underwater world.

Head out on a boat tour to scuba dive into the depths or snorkel with the turtles and clownfish. Its coloured coral, bright blue waters, and diverse marine species make it a must for your bucket list.

Walk over the Grand Canyon in the USA

The Grand Canyon is a natural rock formation that spans over 277 miles in Arizona, USA. It’s an unbelievable sight to behold, with miles of igneous and metamorphic red rock as far as the eye can see.

During your visit, head to the Skywalk – a “horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon, giving you a clear view 4,000 feet to the Canyon floor below”. It’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Head out on safari in Africa

As one of the world’s best wildlife-watching destinations, Africa is a great place to go if you want to see wild animals in their natural habitat. Head out on a hunt to see the Big Five – lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalos and leapords – as you navigate the savanna grasslands in a jeep.

Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful here, and there are plenty of fantastic lodges to stay in where you can watch the animals from the comfort of your room.

Set sail around the islands of Fiji

Fiji is a magical country located in the South Pacific and is made up of more than 300 islands. It’s a picture-perfect paradise – with crystal clear waters, white powdery sand, bright blue skies, and lush palm trees.

Take a boat tour around the tiny islands, stopping to swim in the sea and sink your toes in the sand. While you’re there – why not visit Modriki (also known as Monuriki) Island, where the movie Cast Away was filmed? You can channel your inner Tom Hanks and try to spot Wilson!

Which of these once-in-a-lifetime experiences are you keen to do first?
