WHERE TO GO FOR YOUR NEXT LUXURY ISLAND, WINTER GETAWAY

by | Oct 24, 2022 | Travel

The daily nine-to-five is monotonous, stressful, and draining. And winter is coming. You need to recharge and freshen your mind if you are to work daily and follow the same dull routine. Going on a vacation is a great way to destress yourself and return to work with a fresh mind. And more people are travelling now.

There’s getting away and then there’s really getting away. Consider going to an island resort for your next vacation. Island vacations are refreshing: you can explore the water bodies in a boat, play water sports such as wakeboarding by installing a wakeboarding tower from a reputable company such as Aerial Wakeboarding on your boat, and enjoy the maritime climate.

A private island vacation does not have to be for the rich. With some savings, you can treat yourself to an island retreat every year:

Winter vacation: Caribbean Islands

If a Florida beach vacation doesn’t excite you anymore, consider going more southward and book yourself a resort in the Caribbean Islands. The Caribbean archipelago offers over 700 islands, some of which have world-class luxurious resorts. These islands are a source of inspiration for many movies, from Pirates of the Caribbean to James Bond’s frequent Bahamas trips. It is no wonder the Caribbean Islands welcomed 32 million tourists alone in 2019.

The Caribbean Islands are known for scuba diving. You can find several dive operators on the islands. There are many turquoise-blue oceans to choose from for underwater exploration. But if you prefer to stay overwater, the Caribbean offers you deep-sea fishing, water sports, and even golf.

Some of the most visited Caribbean Islands include the Virgin Islands, St. Lucia, and the Dominican Republic. St. Lucia is a popular honeymoon spot with its clean beaches and adrenaline-rush activities like zip lining for adventurous people. The Dominican Republic is the second-largest Caribbean country and offers several beaches.

Winter vacation: The Maldives

While the Maldives is a tiny dot on the world map, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations. Lying southwards from India, the Maldives is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean and offers a warm maritime climate. The Maldives is known for its spectacular beaches, luxury resorts, and hotels with a view, and is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations.

For a more peaceful vacation, away from the crowded beaches, Kendhoo has some of the great crystal clear water beaches. Some popular tourist spots in the Maldives include the breathtaking Meeru Island, with its coconut trees and beautiful coral reefs. And Hulhumale, a residential island artificially built by pumping sand from the seabed to the surface.

Fiji

Located in the southern hemisphere, Fiji is an archipelago of over 300 islands with palm-lined beaches, a spectacular landscape, and several coral reefs. If you crave a summer experience during your winters, consider going to Fiji Islands.

Fiji Islands are best known for Fiji Water, one of the most luxurious mineral water companies. Fiji Water sources its product from an artesian aquifer from Vivi Letu. The most luxurious Cuban cigars use Fiji Water in their tobacco processing. This significance makes Vivi Letu a must-visit tourist spot.

You cannot go amiss with an island retreat if you want a luxury vacation. Island vacations are calming and fun and connect you with nature. Consider going to the Caribbean, the Maldives, or Fiji for your next vacation. You can go boating, explore the oceans by scuba diving, or engage in water sports. If wakeboarding is on your bucket list, get a safe and durable wakeboard tower installed on your boat by a reputable company. Make the most of your time on your island vacation.
