For the dwindling number of you out there who still give a toss about vacuous Hollywood and celebrity awards shows, planning to tune into the Oscars March 10, why not have a drink and put some fun into it? Oppenheimer was a fabulous movie, and a massive odds-on favourite at BetMGM to win Best Picture (-5000, generating 35.8% of tickets and 83.7% of handle, or money). Killers of the Flower Moon is at +10000, which makes no sense, with Poor Things at +2000.

To mark the occasion, we bring you The Atomic Martini” from La Fonda on the Plaza Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

During the Manhattan Project, Oppenheimer and his team of scientists used to come down from The Hill to dance, drink and decompress at this _grande dame _of Southwestern hospitality, so it’’s only fitting that the hotel’s mixologist offer an Oppenheimer-inspired drink that is perfect for Oscar night.
