KOENIGSEGG JESKO ABSOLUT TOP SPEED TEST: REACHING TOP SPEED RECORD OF 330 MPH

by | Oct 26, 2023 | Motor, Cars

How fast is the Jesko Absolut? The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut top speed test was conducted to verify its maximum velocity. The fastest Koenigsegg supercar ever made – the ultimate performance megacar – is a statement not to be taken lightly. But that’s what we have, with the stunning wingless graphite grey Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.

It made its debut at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show, and custom deliveries followed. The Koenigsegg Jesko price was set at $3 million per car, with just 125 built.

Do you think Christian von Koenigsegg had a 330 mph car in mind when he founded his Swedish car company in 1994?

“We spent thousands of hours in CFD (computational fluid dynamics, used to test aerodynamics in Formula One race cars) calculations. We’ve streamlined this car from not just an aerodynamic and design perspective, but also from a high-speed stability perspective. As a result, the Jesko Absolut has a phenomenally low drag of only 0.278 Cd. The name Absolut comes from the fact that this is the absolute fastest Koenigsegg we will ever make,” von Koenigsegg says.

Koenigsegg Jesko Top Speed Record of 330 mph

Koenigsegg, a Swedish hypercar automaker, achieved a new top speed record by pushing their homologatedroad car to an astonishing 330 mph for a minute. The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut’s 330-mph top speed also puts it above the current line-up of hypercars in terms of raw speed.

It gives the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300 some tough competition. Bugatti has been the first car-maker to crack the 300 mph plus barrier. But the wild Jesko Absolut seems to go well beyond that in terms of its theoretical top speed.

Koenigsegg Jesko Hypercar Specs

Take a look at the Koenigsegg Jesko specs. Hypercar history, a masterpiece 9-speed transmission, lightning speed gearbox. In the quest for automotive excellence, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut stands as the pinnacle of innovation and speed. Born from the visionary mind of Christian von Koenigsegg, this hypercar defies convention with its theoretical top speed of 330 mph, a feat made possible by relentless engineering prowess and groundbreaking design.

With a drag coefficient as low as 0.278, the Jesko Absoluts’ HP comes in at up to 1600 horsepower and 1106 pound-feet or torque. 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.4 seconds, which challenges the very notion of aerodynamic limits, pushing boundaries like never before. The Koenigsegg Jesko speed record attempts might just redefine what it means to be the fastest car in the world. With its 5.0-liter V8 engine with twin-turbo chargers running on E85 fuel and a meticulously crafted powertrain, every aspect of this masterpiece is engineered for one purpose: to dominate the top-speed run. In the hands of skilled drivers on proving grounds like those of Johnny Bohmer, this car has the potential to challenge records and set new benchmarks in high-speed testing.

From its awe-inspiring acceleration to its sleek design, the Jesko Absolut embodies the spirit of relentless innovation, solidifying its place in automotive history as the fastest Koenigsegg ever built.

Koenigsegg Jesko Interior Design

It’s an aerodynamic wonder. The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut features a low drag coefficient and active aerodynamics that adjust to the car’s speed and driving conditions. This allows the car to maintain high speeds with ease, reducing wind resistance and increasing stability.

Koenigsegg says that the main body of the Jesko resembles a fighter jet and the pronounced rear hood is part of that. With a low drag, the Jesko is like a slippery projectile designed to plaster huge numbers on its digital driver display. Other measures to keep aerodynamics in check include covered rear wheels, a front closed air duct, and removing front wheel louvres.

When talking interior design, after opening up the hydraulic Autoskin door system, and climbing inside, you’ll be met with a combination of carbon fiber, leather, and Alcantara, with everything programmed off an optional SmartCenter touchscreen. You’re in a racecar, remember, but all major controls are still conveniently placed for the driver and passenger.

Koenigsegg Jesko Engine Performance

The Koenigsegg Jesko engine has a rev-limit of 8500 rpm. But we’d wager that no driver would be courageous enough to explore the limits of this car anyways.

However, to harness all that power, a potent gearbox was also needed and Koenigsegg made one on its own. It’s a 9-speed Lightspeed Transmission that changes gears in zero time regardless of how many gears you have skipped. Or it can move from any gear to any gear as well.

The Graphite Grey Absolut seen here will now become an official factory testing vehicle, and will be leading the Jesko Absolut program. In terms of homologated street legal hypercars, the hallowed One:1 power to weight ratio is something of a rare phenomenon and we can only imagine how fast the Jesko Absolut would be.

The Jesko was first shown in 2020. But time has not mellowed down those delightfully edgy proportions along with a typical hyper car silhouette. It is low, mean and draped with some exquisite detailing. The “Graphite Grey” paint nicely collides with the Tang Orange strips while the menacing look of the Jesko is now even more enhanced due to the dark paint.

It can be argued that such speeds are well beyond the realms of public roads or the fact that owners will never attempt them. Hence, it’s more of a showcase in terms of an engineering feat. In that way, the Koenigsegg Jesko is a unicorn and shows that conventional gasoline-powered hypercars can compete head-on with  electric ones like the Rimac Nevera.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut: Fastest Production Car in the World

Ever pushing the envelope, Koenigsegg, the revered Swedish hypercar giant, has once again captured the spotlight by clocking a mind-boggling 330 mph, albeit briefly. Their dedicated engineers fine-tuned the car’s aerodynamics, reimagined its engine performance, and honed the gear ratios, ensuring compatibility with E85 fuel and rear-wheel drive.

This remarkable achievement firmly establishes the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut top speed test position at the forefront of top-speed wonders.
