What’s new and unique about the 2025 Porsche Panamera from a luxury car perspective? I drove the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, with the media fleet car priced at $184,520, including options like Porsche Active Ride, 21-inch SportDesign Wheels, and the Premium Package that includes 4-Zone Climate Control, Heated Seats (Rear), and Air Quality System.

Enhanced Plug-In Hybrid Options

The 2025 lineup expands with new plug-in hybrid variants, including the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, 4S E-Hybrid (which I drove), and the range-topping Turbo S E-Hybrid. The Turbo S E-Hybrid delivers an impressive 771 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful luxury sedans available. These hybrids offer up to 56 miles of all-electric range, providing a silent, emissions-free luxury driving experience for short trips. That’s a feature increasingly prized in the luxury segment.

Porsche Active Ride Suspension

Available as an option on E-Hybrid models, this innovative system uses active shock absorbers connected to an electrically operated hydraulic pump. It dynamically adjusts each wheel’s position to minimize body roll, pitch, and dive, offering a ride that can switch seamlessly between plush luxury and sports-car firmness. This technology, co-developed with Audi, sets the Panamera apart by delivering a refined balance of comfort and agility that few competitors can match.

Revamped Interior Technology

The cabin features Porsche’s Driver Experience cockpit, with a 12.6-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. An optional 10.9-inch passenger display adds a futuristic touch, allowing the front passenger to control media or navigation without distracting the driver. The integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is deeper, and features like remote parking via a smartphone app enhance convenience – a nod to modern luxury expectations.

The car comes equipped with BOSE Surround Sound System, and Sirius Radio, where we programmed Chill channel driving north through a March snow storm.

Luxury Customization

Porsche offers extensive personalization options, including new interior color schemes like Black and Limestone Beige, and premium audio choices such as the 21-speaker, 1,455-watt Burmester 3D High-End Surround System. Leather-free upholstery is available for the first time, catering to eco-conscious luxury buyers.

The seat foam quality has been improved for added comfort, and finless air vents can be preset with climate preferences, showcasing attention to detail.

Performance Meets Refinement

While performance is a Porsche hallmark, the 2025 Panamera GTS and Turbo S E-Hybrid models elevate this with luxury in mind.

The GTS, with its 493-horsepower V8, includes Race-Tex suede-like finishes and optional carbon fiber accents, blending sportiness with upscale materials.

The Turbo S E-Hybrid, meanwhile, achieves a 2.8-second 0-60 mph time yet maintains a serene, cosseting interior – perfect for those who want supercar thrills without sacrificing comfort.

Subtle Design Refinements

The exterior sees minor updates like a redesigned front air intake and window line, enhancing its sleek, sporty elegance. These tweaks maintain the Panamera’s distinctive look while keeping it fresh among luxury sedans like the BMW 7 Series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
