Every real estate agent knows exactly how much work is involved in the job. From the outside, that mightn’t appear to be the case. As a result, many new agents can be surprised when they initially start. It’s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed during the first few weeks.

If you’ve found yourself in this position, there are ways to minimize that feeling. Having a few specific tools could be more than recommended. With how effective they are, they’re tools that even experienced estate agents would benefit from.
Whether you’re simply investing or starting a full-time career in real estate, you’ll want to keep these in mind.
Tools all real estate agents should use
Lead generation tool
The more leads you have, the greater your chances for sales or rentals. As such, you’ll need to get as many people interested in your properties as you can. You can do so in various ways, with effective marketing being one of the most notable.
You could also use a lead generation tool. These can include a range of different real estate and housing-focused platforms. It’s worth targeting both buyers and sellers when you’re doing so, as that will keep your sales pipeline full.
Automated appraisal review
The appraisal review process could be one of the more time-consuming parts of your job. There’s a lot to look after, such as regulatory compliance, among other things. That leaves a certain amount of leeway for mistakes to be made, which you’ll naturally want to avoid.
Being able to automate much of this would be a welcome thought. There are multiple ways you can go about this, such as an option from Mercury Network. Using such options will speed up the process and minimize the chances of mistakes being made.
You should also have much more precise information and reports at your disposal, which should also be a benefit.
Customer relationship management software
Between your clients, customers, contractors, and colleagues, you’ll have a lot of being to keep in relatively regular contact with. That could be difficult if you’re relying solely on your phone and memory.
You’ll have appointments to set and places to be. With the sheer volume of work you could have, this could be impossible to remember correctly. Using the right customer relationship management software will change that.
These can typically be used on your phone and desktop, so you can check things on the go. They’ll also streamline your scheduling and communications with clients, making a CRM highly recommended.
Wrapping up
Like any other field, entering real estate can be daunting. It could take some time to learn the ropes and operate as effectively as you might want. Taking advantage of as many tips and tricks as you can is more than recommended.
Your new colleagues should be more than happy to help you with this. Coupled with the above tools, you shouldn’t have a problem hitting the ground running. At a minimum, they’ll make your work life much easier.
As such, it’s worth looking into how these tools work. While there are a few to look at, knowing even the basics will get you off to the right start.

I am a 50-something Torontonian who loves everything about my city. It’s been my home, my playground, for my entire life. I went to school here. I met my wife here. I own real estate here. I love writing about the transformation of my city on the world stage, which hasn’t been anything short of dramatic. That continues on, as I write this. I write on the real estate scene. I write on travel and fashion. I like following the world of luxury watches.
But I love writing about cars – check that, luxury cars, a level of superior, engineering sophistication, high performance and style, that transports you not just from one destination to another but also out of whatever you are going through on a particular day, whatever mood you are in, all to another head space. It’s complete and total exhilaration, head to toe.
